FI* Riverknee Cattery  Terhi Liukko-Joenpolvi and Jarno Joenpolvi A small family cattery dedicated to the traditional pedigree ragdolls   We live in Vantaa (Finland) a few kilometres from Helsinki city.   In our family there is us, Terhi and Jarno, our sons Juho and Jaakko and 6 cats. Beside cats we also have a dog named Toffo who currently is adopted by Terhi´s parents by their own will and wish :) You can read more about them in their own pages. We first had a neutered show quality male FIN*Tammikatin Silkkiturkki, RAG a (Simo) and a show quality stud FIN*Snowrag Contrastes, RAG a (Oskari). From Oskari´s litter with Millpark Penny Lane to FI*Shyshaman´s cattery we bought our breeding dame Shyshaman´s I Am Music, RAG a 04 (Mimmi). You can see their show merits on Our Show Merit-link. We were not planning to ever raise a single litter, but with support and encouragement from our friends among breeders in Finland we decided to apply for our own prefix from FIFe.   Our prefix was registered on sebtember 2005 in FIFe and our first litter was born in April 2006. We base our breeding on tested cats: - FeLV and FIV- negative - bloodtyped - heart and kidney ultrasound scanned -HCM tested (genetic test) - fungus tested annually -coat colour DNA tested lilacs and chocolates and choc carriers We deworm our kittens 3 times and vaccine them twice before they are handed to their new owners. All kittens crow as family members and they are used to children. All our cats live freely in our home, none of them are kept in gages or separated from humans or other cats.
